Job summary

Tremco Sealants is seeking a Business Leader in Grand Rapids, MI to manage daily production operations, ensure timely shipments, and maintain safe, compliant, and cost-effective manufacturing. The role requires 4+ years in operations with supervisory experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

The candidate will lead lean initiatives, coordinate resources, and liaise with customers and suppliers to optimize delivery, quality, and pricing strategies, while upholding SOX and ISO

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science or Business or equivalent business experience.
• Minimum 4 years operations experience (3 years management or supervision) in a specialty chemical plant environment.
• Knowledge of Lean concepts and cost controls.
• Proficient in Excel and SAP applications.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development, revision, and accuracy of production plan.
• Sets lead-times and ensures on-time shipments with available inventory.
• Defines manpower and material resources to meet schedules.
• Troubleshoots bottlenecks and communicates with stakeholders.
• Acts as primary contact with customers.
• Provides technical support to customers including product development and custom orders.
• Manages supplier issues and service level agreements.
• Assists in pricing and channel strategy to support growth.
• Adheres to safety, SOX, and ISO standards.
• Implements LEAN practices and oversees quality.
• Oversee all quality related functions in the plant.
• Participate in development of specifications.
