Job summary

Cordia is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic III to support Arizona State University power, steam and chilled water facilities and assist downtown Phoenix plants as needed. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and coordinate with management to ensure safety, reliability and efficiency.

You will review manuals, initiate work requests, supervise contractors, and help plan capital replacements per Cordia policies while maintaining logs and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of steady work experience maintaining power, steam, and/or chilled water equipment.
• Troubleshooting experience with cogeneration and/or central heating and cooling plants.
• Proficiency in contract management and leading/directing contractors.
• EPA 609 universal refrigeration certificate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews operating and maintenance requirements for main and remote plants.
• Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of plant equipment.
• Initiates CMMS work requests and coordinates with plant management.
• Interprets manuals and drawings to develop work plans.
• Leads process improvements and shares best practices.
• Maintains logs and plant documentation; coordinates with operations for LOTOs.
• Oversees bids and contractors; coordinates between contractors and vendors.
• Plans routine maintenance and supports major projects per Cordia policies.
• Ensures safety policies and environmental regulations are followed.
• Orders parts and manages plant supplies; performs additional duties as needed.
