Job summary

Quikrete Holdings Inc. seeks a Maintenance Superintendent for the Harleyville, SC cement plant.

You will plan, direct and control all maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability, reliability, safety and cost efficiency. You will lead preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and utility systems, with responsibility for budgets, spare parts, and coordination with production and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10-15 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• At least 5 years in a maintenance leadership role in cement, mining, steel, power or heavy manufacturing.
• CMRP, PMP or equivalent certifications are an advantage.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Ensure high equipment reliability and minimize downtime through effective planning.
• Lead maintenance for crushers, raw mills, kilns, coolers, cement mills, conveyors, packing plants, and utilities.
• Manage maintenance shutdowns, annual overhauls, and emergency repairs.
• Monitor equipment performance using reliability and condition monitoring techniques.
• Prepare maintenance budgets and control maintenance costs.
• Optimize spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, engineering and warehouse departments.
• Supervise and develop maintenance engineers, supervisors, technicians and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and statutory regulations.
• Conduct RCFA and implement corrective actions.
• Improve maintenance processes through reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS (SAP PM/Maximo).
• Monitor maintenance KPIs and prepare monthly performance reports.
• Support capital improvement and plant modernization projects.
