Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials seeks a Maintenance Superintendent to plan, direct, and control maintenance at our Harleyville, SC plant. You will oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility systems to maximize equipment availability and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• 10–15 years of industrial maintenance experience with at least 5 years in maintenance leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all plant equipment.
• Ensure high equipment reliability and minimize downtime through effective maintenance planning.
• Lead maintenance activities for crushers, raw mills, kilns, coolers, cement mills, conveyors, packing plants, and utility systems.
• Manage maintenance shutdowns, annual overhauls, and emergency repairs.
• Monitor equipment performance using reliability and condition monitoring techniques.
• Prepare maintenance budgets and control maintenance costs.
• Optimize spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, engineering, and warehouse departments to achieve operational targets.
• Supervise and develop maintenance engineers, supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
• Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective actions.
• Improve maintenance processes through continuous improvement initiatives and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS such as SAP PM, Maximo, or similar software.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs and prepare monthly performance reports.
• Support capital improvement and plant modernization projects.
