Job summary

Evonik is seeking a Senior Plant Engineer II to lead and execute capital projects across site infrastructure, delivering engineering solutions aligned with safety and Evonik standards.

You will collaborate with operations and maintenance, develop maintenance strategies, support budgeting, and mentor junior engineers. A degree in engineering and 5–10 years of plant utilities experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 5–10 years of experience in plant engineering, utilities, and/or project execution.
• Experience in chemical or pharmaceutical operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium capital projects through scope development, design, construction, commissioning, qualification, and startup.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support for utilities systems (steam, water, HVAC, power distribution, etc.).
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance to improve reliability, safety, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards, specifications, and work instructions.
• Support maintenance budgeting, planning, and execution; monitor KPIs.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews; ensure cGMP and regulatory compliance.
