Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Senior Plant Engineer to lead the plant engineering strategy at our Marietta, GA location with regular travel to support the Mooretown, NJ facility. You will oversee multiple capital projects, manage safety and budgeting, and collaborate across functions to deliver reliable, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.

The role emphasizes driving continuous improvement in safety, environmental performance, and product quality while ensuring alignment with Lean Capital

Qualifications

  • Develop and execute the plant engineering strategy aligned with objectives and priorities.
  • Lead multiple capital and operational projects within timelines and budgets.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned capital projects including safety, scope, commissioning, qualification, verification, cash flow and budget tracking.
  • Partner with sourcing and procurement to develop project purchasing strategies.
  • Lead root cause failure analyses and implement sustainable engineered solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, EHS, Maintenance, and Finance to achieve objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement focused on safety, food safety, cost optimization and equipment reliability.
  • Develop business cases, project scopes, schedules and cost estimates for capital investments.
  • Travel to support Mooretown, New Jersey facility as needed.

Job Description:
About the Role:
  • Develop and execute the plant engineering strategy in alignment with organizational objectives and business priorities.
  • Lead multiple capital and operational projects, ensuring successful execution within established timelines and budgets.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned capital projects, including safety, scope management, commissioning, qualification, verification, cash flow, and budget tracking.
  • Follow Capital Initiative Management processes and provide consistent communication to stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
  • Partner with sourcing and procurement teams to develop and execute project purchasing strategies.
  • Maintain site technical drawings and ensure proper engineering document retention and control.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and engineering support for critical operational challenges.
  • Lead root cause failure analysis efforts and implement sustainable engineered solutions.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, EHS, Maintenance, Supply Planning, R&D, Finance, IT, and Plant Leadership teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Support the execution of large-scale projects in partnership with the Corporate Engineering team.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, environmental performance, food safety, cost optimization, and equipment reliability.
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions that improve employee safety, product quality, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
  • Serve as the Initiative Management Pillar Leader for the site and ensure alignment with Lean Capital processes.
  • Develop business cases, project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates to support future capital investment planning.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

This is a full-time role based in Marietta, Georgia, with regular travel to support our Mooretown, New Jersey tea manufacturing facility. The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $106,700 to $160,100 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
