Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the production maintenance group at the Cambridge, MD plant, driving safety and world-class manufacturing results using TPM tools.

You will coach maintenance technicians, coordinate with engineering and external vendors, and manage the capital budget to improve site infrastructure and equipment reliability. This is a full-time, on-site role on First Shift with occasional flexibility for other shifts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Five years or more in a technical management or supervisory role within food manufacturing.
  • Experience with electronics, controls, mechanical and electrical components found in food manufacturing machinery and safety standards for equipment.
  • Knowledge of lean and six sigma techniques and tools.
  • Experience using CMMS to run a maintenance department; SAP Plant Maintenance a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance department as the Plant Progressive Maintenance Pillar leader.
  • Drive standards and consistency across the maintenance department; serve as technical and business resource.
  • Interact with plant floor personnel, leadership, engineering, vendors and external support.
  • Manage capital budgets to grow the business and improve site safety and quality projects.
  • Provide coaching, training, feedback and mentorship to maintenance staff.

Job Description:

As a Maintenance Manager, you will be a key player in providing leadership and strategic direction for the production maintenance group, at the Cambridge, MD, plant, a manufacturer of quality aseptic products. This role will provide maintenance leadership to deliver a world-class operation. Lead, motivate, and develop employees to achieve outstanding manufacturing results, while leveraging Continuous Improvement (TPM) tools, improving individual skills, and enhancing teamwork.

About the Role:

Playing a leading role in ensuring a safety-first culture through actively supporting the site’s health and safety program in addition to ensuring that all Food Safety and Quality guidelines are followed.

You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
  • Responsible for leading the maintenance department as the Plant Progressive Maintenance Pillar leader.
  • Driving standards and consistency across the maintenance department. Function as a technical and business resource in areas of system operations and production requirements.
  • This position requires considerable interaction with plant floor personnel, leadership team, engineering, external support, and vendors.
  • Supports the role of Project Manager for annually allocated capital budget to help grow business, improve operational efficiency, and improve site infrastructure and support site safety and quality projects.
  • Providing coaching, training, feedback and mentorship to maintenance technicians, coordinators, and admin staff.
Important Details:
  • This is a full-time, on-site role on First Shift. Occasional flexibility is required to support alternate shifts.
  • The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $97,500.00 - 146,300.00 USD annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay.
You’ll fit right in if you have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Five years or more in a technical management or supervisory role within food manufacturing industry is required.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics, controls, mechanical and electrical components found in food manufacturing machinery as well as proper safety standards for food production equipment.
  • Experience in creating, executing, and monitoring manufacturing technical standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of lean and six sigma techniques and tools are an asset.
  • Experience in the use of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to successfully run a maintenance department; knowledge in SAP Plant Maintenance a plus.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and maintenance management software.
