Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a Senior Plant Cost Analyst to help optimize financial performance across manufacturing operations. This role partners with plant leadership, operations teams, and corporate finance to translate operational results into actionable insights on cost control and profitability.

The ideal candidate will lead planning, forecasting, and reporting, maintain cost accounting processes, and mentor junior analysts while staying connected to the shop floor to understand production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 8+ years of finance or accounting experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
• Strong cost accounting, inventory management, standard costing, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling experience.
• Experience supporting annual operating plans, forecasts, and strategic analysis.
• Working knowledge of SAP and ERP systems.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate across levels.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement cost savings and productivity initiatives with plant leadership.
• Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends and opportunities.
• Provide recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and resource use.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/quarterly reporting processes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and evaluate capital project spending.
• Mentor Associate Plant Cost Analysts and develop finance team members.
