Job summary

Markent Personnel seeks a Plant Automation SME for Brown Deer, WI, focusing on Allen-Bradley and Siemens controls. This direct-hire role offers a $43/hour base with multiple annual bonuses, a stable 1st shift schedule (Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM), and comprehensive benefits.

You will serve as the facility's technical authority on high-capacity automation lines, robotic cells, and PLC diagnostics, providing leadership and mentoring to technicians while reducing downtime.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industrial maintenance and automation experience.
• Experience in high-volume, continuous-production manufacturing environments.
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Welding and fabrication capabilities for heavy machinery repairs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Plant Automation SME: perform advanced diagnostics and precision repairs on high-capacity lines.
• Troubleshoot PLCs & control systems on Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
• Read multi-page electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to isolate faults.
• Maintain power, fluids, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems; perform preventative maintenance.
• Fabricate and modify machine frameworks; repair critical equipment on-site.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior maintenance technicians.
