Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Senior Plant Accountant to join our manufacturing finance team in Midway, GA. You will support day-to-day accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, and cost accounting while collaborating with the Accounting Manager and plant operations.

You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and analyze variances across inventory, costing, and overhead. The role requires strong Excel skills, ERP experience, and the ability to work independently in a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent).
• 3–5 years progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and other month-end adjustments.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies across stores, raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Support product costing, standard cost updates, and manufacturing variances analysis.
• Monitor plant expenses and explain significant variances.
• Provide backup for accounts payable/receivable as needed.
• Support audits with schedules and documentation.
