Job summary

Qualifications
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade or high school diploma.
- Three years of responsible plans examination experience.
- ICC Certified Building Plans Examiner (B3) and Oregon Inspector Certificate OR Oregon Code Certification as a PE A-level Plans Examiner; must obtain license within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Review plans, specifications, engineering documents, and calculations for code compliance.
- Serve as a technical resource for architects, engineers, contractors, property owners, inspectors, and staff.
- Provide technical guidance on complex construction issues and ensure timely plan reviews.
- Contribute to development and improvement of procedures and sharing expertise with team members.
- Assist applicants through the permitting process with clear, professional guidance.
