Job summary

Family Dollar seeks a seasoned Visual Merchandising leader to translate strategies into executable planograms across formats. You will guide a small team, use space-planning tools, and partner with Merchandising to optimize shelf strategies, placement, and capacity based on data-driven insights for profitability and shopper experience.

The role requires 5–8 years in relevant retail functions, 3+ years in people leadership, and proficiency in Blue Yonder or Spaceman plus MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in merchandising, business, marketing, retail management, analytics, or a related field.
• Five to eight years of experience in category management, merchandising, visual merchandising, space planning, or a related retail function.
• At least three years of people-leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop 3–5 Planogram Analysts; establish priorities, performance expectations, accountability, and development plans.
• Manage workload, resources, timelines, and quality across multiple categories and initiatives; onboarding, process, and systems training.
• Build an inclusive, collaborative, accountable, high-performing team; development and succession plans.
• Define category shelf strategies and translate them into core, template, clustered, alternate, and store-specific planograms.
• Optimize assortment, shelf allocation, and facings using sales, margin, and space-productivity metrics.
• Analyze planogram performance and store feedback to identify opportunities and improve results.
