Job summary

The City of Eagle, Idaho seeks a skilled Planner III to lead advanced land use planning, zoning compliance, and design review. You will mentor staff, prepare staff reports, and present before boards and the City Council.

Work includes night meetings, coordination with departments, and ensuring adherence to City codes for complex projects while supporting long-range plans and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field required; four years of planning experience or equivalent.
• Master’s degree preferred; additional certifications a plus.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert planning guidance to developers on land use and design reviews.
• Prepare staff reports and present findings to City boards and the Council.
• Attend and present at night meetings as required.
• Review complex plans for compliance with city and state codes.
