Job summary

Argenta is hiring a Manager, Planning and Purchasing at our Shawnee, KS location. You will lead a team of Customer Supply Planners and Schedulers, translating client needs into a responsive supply plan to meet the Master Production Schedule.

You will drive capacity and material constraints, manage supplier performance and ensure changes are controlled. GMP experience and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of planning and purchasing in a busy manufacturing environment, with 2+ years leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of MPS and MRP processes; hands-on SAP experience.
• Experience in GMP manufacturing and packaging components is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Customer Supply Planners and Schedulers, setting priorities and accountability.
• Own the 18-month Master Production Schedule (MPS), balancing demand with capacity and constraints.
• Serve as senior contact for client representatives on supply matters including forecasts and orders.
• Drive resolution of capacity and material constraints and keep clients informed.
• Oversee Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and ensure current demand and supply plans.
• Oversee purchasing of materials, ensuring timely deliveries per inventory policy.
• Manage supplier performance, lead times and delivery reliability; resolve risks.
• Oversee artwork version control and timelines aligned with production schedules.
• Ensure Change Controls for packaging components are initiated and completed.
• Monitor KPIs like on-time in-full, forecast accuracy, inventory, obsolescence; drive improvement.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance and Commercial teams.
