Job summary

Argenta, a global animal health company, is seeking a Manager of Planning and Purchasing in Shawnee, KS. You will lead a team of Customer Supply Planners to translate client needs into a supply plan, ensuring on-time, in-full delivery and alignment with the Master Production Schedule.

You will drive capacity and material constraint resolution, manage supplier performance, and coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance and Commercial teams to achieve feasible, reliable supply

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of planning and purchasing experience in a busy manufacturing environment, including 2+ years leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of MPS and MRP processes; hands-on SAP experience.
• Experience in GMP regulated manufacturing; change control and packaging component management is desirable.
• Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Customer Supply Planners and Schedulers; set priorities and ensure accountability for on-time deliveries.
• Own the 18‑month Master Production Schedule (MPS) balancing demand with capacity and constraints; gain cross‑functional consensus.
• Act as senior client contact for supply matters including forecast updates, order fulfilment and changes; escalate issues as needed.
• Oversee Materials Requirements Planning and ensure parameters reflect current demand and supply plans.
• Oversee purchasing of raw materials and packaging components; schedule deliveries per inventory policy.
• Manage supplier performance, lead times and delivery reliability; resolve supply risks.
• Oversee artwork version control and ensure alignment with production schedules.
• Initiate and manage Change Controls for packaging components; ensure timely completion.
• Monitor KPIs such as on-time in-full delivery, forecast accuracy, inventory levels; drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance and Commercial to ensure aligned supply plans.
