Job summary

McDermott in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Planner to join our Low Carbon Solutions team. The Senior Planner uses planning discipline practices to improve scheduling and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the Planning/Scheduling discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 7-10 years of EPCIC experience with onshore/offshore oil & gas or power projects
• Proven ability to build schedules for large projects
• Proposals experience on EPC projects
• Strong command of scheduling tools and Excel advanced features
• Ability to communicate effectively with team and management

Responsibilities

• Perform schedule analysis using Primavera P6, Deltek Fuse & Risk, and MS Project
• Support baseline creation during project initiation and setup
• Facilitate detailed multi-discipline scope reviews
• Mentor junior planners as required
• Develop and maintain level 3 and level 4 activity schedules for marine scope installations in Oil & Gas
• Produce workforce histograms and progress curves
• Review engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, hook-up and commissioning sequences
• Identify delays and propose recovery actions
• Lead and deliver scheduling initiatives
