Job summary

The Senior Planner at Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems will develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and the Internal Operating Plan (IOP), coordinating with Production, Materials, Contracts, and the Program Office to align capacity, material availability, and contractual needs. You will monitor changes, drive replanning, and improve planning processes to ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of production planning experience.
• Strong understanding of business processes and inter-relationships.
• Extensive experience in production planning and MRP systems.
• Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Create the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on capacity, materials, and contracts.
• Obtain agreement from production, materials and program office before MPS execution.
• Maintain the MPS files and ensure old programs are closed with proper disposition.
• Monitor shipping performance to MPS and contracts; create tracking reports.
• Track and report changes to each MPS; interface to create IOP with contracts/planning.
• Ensure product moves from production to packaging to shipping.
• Develop reports of actual shipments vs projections.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to establish a stable schedule.
• Improve processes to better meet goals and re-plan when needed.
• Consolidate demand for purchase requisitions; support company mission and values.
