Coconino County in Northern Arizona is seeking a Senior Planner/Long Range Planner to manage updates to county land use plans and regulations. The role involves administering planning regulations, preparing staff reports, and presenting requests at public hearings.

You will coordinate with the public, county departments and other jurisdictions, oversee development and amendments, and ensure compliance with ordinances while supporting the county's planning goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, geography or related field and three years of related experience.
• Experience administering land use plans and planning regulations.
• Ability to present requests before decision-makers in public hearings.

Responsabilités

• Administers ordinances and plans for development review, subdivisions, rezonings, variances.
• Works with citizen groups and developers on planning issues.
• Prepares staff reports with recommendations for rezoning and use permits.
• Presents cases to Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustment.
• Coordinates with public and other jurisdictions on county plans.
• Mantains records and reports.
