Job summary

Norris Design in Phoenix is seeking a senior-level Planner to join our office, bringing 15+ years of entitlements, land development and physical planning expertise to a collaborative, design-forward team.

You will lead internal and consultant teams, manage schedules and the entitlement approval process for residential, commercial, retail and mixed-use projects, while mentoring colleagues and presenting at industry events.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience with entitlements, land development and physical planning at a professional organization.
• Experience leading internal teams and consultant teams, preparing schedules, and managing the approval process for residential, commercial, retail and mixed-use projects.
• Have an understanding and general knowledge of zoning regulations and approval processes.
• Professional writing skills to effectively communicate project goals and objectives.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel and ACAD.
• You’ll be enthusiastic, creative, and have the ability to think proactively and strategically.
• Ability to participate and present at external professional, marketing, and networking events.
• Potential to take on additional leadership opportunities by building transformational relationships with team members, clients, and consultants.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture or another related field from an accredited program.
