Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Senior Planner / Buyer for contract manufacturing to support finished goods planning, inventory management, and supplier negotiations. The role focuses on maintaining master production schedules, monitoring supplier performance, and driving cost reductions across contract manufacturing partners.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in supply chain planning, strong ERP experience (SAP S/4HANA/IBP), and a track record in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning and procurement.
• Experience managing contract/outsourced manufacturing partners.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments preferred (CPG, food, pharma).
• Solid understanding of MRP, demand planning, and inventory management.
• ERP experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP IBP preferred.
• APICS CSCP or similar certification a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels for finished goods, WIP, and packaging materials.
• Create and manage purchase orders aligned with demand plans and MRP.
• Maintain master production schedules for contract manufactured products.
• Monitor supplier performance, lead times, backorders, and delivery risks.
• Analyze pricing updates and purchase price variances for cost reduction.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) within ERP.
• Prepare and distribute monthly forecast updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Quality, R&D, Regulatory, and Marketing for new product introductions.

Summary:

A leading consumer goods organization is seeking a Senior Planner / Buyer to support the planning processes across contract manufacturing. This role is responsible for finished goods planning, inventory management, and contract negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory levels for finished goods, WIP, and packaging materials related to contract manufacturing
• Create and manage purchase orders aligned with demand plans and MRP to ensure product availability
• Maintain master production schedules for assigned contract manufactured products
• Monitor supplier performance, lead times, backorders, and delivery to mitigate supply risks
• Analyze pricing updates and purchase price variances to identify cost‑reduction opportunities
• Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) within ERP systems
• Prepare and distribute monthly forecast updates to key stakeholders
• Partner with Quality, R&D, Regulatory, and Marketing teams to support new product introductions
