Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Planner - Level 3 to schedule production activities and collaborate with manufacturing supervision, inventory, quality, procurement, and engineering to drive continuous improvement. The role reports to the Director of Operations.

You will manage inventory levels, assess deviations, and implement improvements to boost schedule attainment and reduce costs while leading or contributing to S&OP activities. Limited travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 10–15 years’ experience acceptable in lieu of education.
• Senior-level experience.
• Strong critical thinking, data interpretation, and alignment of production plan with sales objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufactured inventory levels cost-efficiently and prevent stockouts.
• Assess production schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions and improvements.

Purpose, Scope, Organization

The Planner - Level 3 will be involved with the scheduling of production activities in support of the company’s manufacturing and sales goals. Additionally, this position will work with manufacturing supervision, inventory, quality, procurement, and engineering to drive continuous improvement within their area of responsibility. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage manufactured inventory levels in a cost effective and efficient manner; ensuring minimal stock-outs and preventing stock swell.
2. Assess deviations in the production schedule. Collaborate with manufacturing supervision to understand production deviations and recommend corrective actions and continuous improvements to improve schedule attainment.
3. Identify inefficiencies, implement best practices, and leverage data-driven insights to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
4. Lead or contribute to S&OP activities, ensuring production plans align with sales forecasts and customer requirements.
5. Other duties assigned by supervision.

This position requires critical thinking skills, the ability to analyze and interpret data, and the ability to understand various inputs to ensure the Company’s production plan aligns to sales objectives.

This position must demonstrate a high level of understanding related to reduction in manufacturing costs and improvements in efficiency and schedule attainment.

Education / Technical: Bachelor’s degree required. In lieu of education, 10 to 15 years’ experience in a similar role is acceptable.
