Job summary

Access Data Consulting Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Planning Supervisor to lead the planning staff and coordinate with frontline supervisors. The role encompasses effective maintenance planning, scheduling, job preparation, materials management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support safe and efficient operations.

You will oversee daily, short-term, and long-range planning, ensure proper planning and execution, manage forecasts and cost control, and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive maintenance experience, including leadership/supervisory roles.
• Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and materials management.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office.

Job description

The Maintenance Planning Supervisor oversees the maintenance planning function, including supervision of Planning staff and coordination with frontline supervisors. This position is responsible for effective maintenance planning, scheduling, job preparation, materials management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while supporting safe and efficient maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop Planners and planning department staff.
• Establish objectives and maintain strong working relationships with maintenance and operations teams.
• Oversee daily, short-term, and long-range maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Ensure jobs are properly planned, prepared, communicated, staged, executed, and followed up.
• Manage runtime forecasting, monthly planning, reconciliation meetings, and success-against-plan reviews.
• Support budget preparation, cost forecasting, parts availability, inventory, and materials management.
• Monitor planning performance through data, reporting, and quality control.
• Provide field oversight of job preparation and execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and company standards.
• Provide timely planning and scheduling updates to the Superintendent.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence within maintenance activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 8+ years of progressive maintenance experience, including 5+ years in a leadership/supervisory role; or
• Associate degree in a technical field with 6+ years of related maintenance experience, including 3+ years in leadership; or
• Bachelor's degree in an applicable field with 4+ years of progressive maintenance experience, including supervisory or lead experience.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and materials management.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to analyze data, resolve operational issues, and maintain effective relationships across departments.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and hazard recognition.
