Job summary

Genentech is seeking a Senior Scientist in the translational Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics (tPKPD) team within the Development Sciences division of gRED. The role focuses on supporting preclinical PKPD efforts to guide biologics development, providing technical support for PKPD assessments and working with other teams to advance programs.

The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D., M.D., or PharmD and has 1–2 years of relevant industry experience, with a track record of publications or regulatory

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D., or PharmD degree or equivalent in pharmacology, pharmaceutical science, biology, bioengineering, chemistry, physiology or related disciplines.
• 1–2 years of relevant industry experience in translational PKPD/pharmacology or equivalent postdoctoral experience preferred.
• Strong publication record or regulatory filings indicative of research impact.
• Proficiency with GLP and safety training; familiarity with laboratory techniques.
• Experience with quantitative PKPD software (WinNonlin, NONMEM, ADAPT II, Matlab, Simbiology, R).
• Independent thinking with ability to design, execute, analyze and document studies; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, conduct, analyze and interpret in vitro and in vivo ADME and PKPD studies for drug candidates.
• Prepare summary tables and regulatory documents under supervision.
• Present data at project teams and department meetings and conferences.
• Publish PKPD-focused research in scientific journals.
• Manage a laboratory program supporting basic PKPD research and pipeline projects.
• Collaborate with Clinical Pharmacology, Bioanalytical Sciences, Regulatory Affairs and other groups.
• Participate in compliance and safety activities; perform other duties as assigned.
