Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions seeks a Piping Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior-Level) to support design and analysis of piping systems for complex nuclear projects. The role focuses on integrated analyses, design reviews, and adherence to codes and quality requirements.

The candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop piping designs, resolve technical challenges, and ensure high-quality engineering solutions while supporting project schedules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• Mid-Level: Minimum 5 years of relevant piping design experience.
• Senior-Level: Minimum 15 years of relevant piping design experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B31.3 piping codes.
• Familiarity with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and nuclear-grade equipment.
• Experience using Bentley AutoPIPE and 3D piping models for analysis.
• Knowledge of design verification, GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and layouts.
• Experience partnering with engineering and fabrication teams to deliver drawings.
• Ability to prepare and review piping-related deliverables.
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform integrated engineering analyses to support project execution and schedules.
• Develop, review, and approve engineering designs, specs, calculations, drawings, and docs.
• Create and review concepts, models, and layouts for piping systems and equipment.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues within assigned areas.
• Ensure compliance with codes, quality requirements, and project procedures.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, fabricators, and stakeholders.
• Support preparation and review of PFDs, P&IDs, piping isometrics, supports, and GA drawings.
• Participate in design reviews, verifications, and coordination efforts.
• Travel up to 25% as required.
