Job summary

Northern Natural Gas in Iowa is seeking a Pipeline Technician for its operations within the largest interstate natural gas pipeline system. This position comes with a knowledge-based compensation program and an annual discretionary incentive bonus. Candidates should demonstrate skills in maintaining equipment, including gas measurement and corrosion protection, and will participate in compliance with safety and environmental standards.

The ideal applicant will possess an Associate of Applied Science degree or have relevant work experience, necessary for performing emergency responses and scheduled maintenance on operational equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in pipeline systems, preferably 4-6 years if education requirements not met.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to work varied schedules, including overtime.
• Successful completion of Pipeline Technician Academy and/or skill-block achievement.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scheduled preventative maintenance on operational equipment.
• Support emergency response and recognize abnormal operating conditions.
• Locate pipelines and manage third-party excavation and crossings.
• Contribute to team work environment based on mutual respect and integrity.
