Zusammenfassung

Northern Natural Gas is seeking a Senior Pipeline Technician to operate and maintain its compressor stations and pipeline facilities across a broad range of technical specialties. The role covers controls, measurement, corrosion, mechanical, LNG, underground storage, and environmental duties, with on-call and overnight shifts expected.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in a technical specialization preferred (aviation maintenance, diesel, natural gas, compression, instrumentation, controls, electrical, electro-mechanical or corrosion).
• Comparable undergraduate degree with technical certification acceptable.
• Completion of Pipeline Technician Academy or achievement of at least one skill-block.

Aufgaben

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers, HMIs, motor control centers, and power distribution and pneumatics used in pipeline operations.
• Program, maintain, operate and troubleshoot gas measurement equipment including meters, valves, regulators and related software; monitor gas quality control equipment.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot corrosion protection equipment to ensure pipeline integrity; NACE CP1 tester certification preferred.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair rotating and reciprocating compression equipment.
• Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of LNG processes.
• Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of underground storage processes.
• Operate compressor station equipment; perform pigging operations, damage prevention, and right of way maintenance.
• Transport, inspect, maintain and operate heavy equipment (backhoes, trucks, excavators, etc.); hazmat and LNG endorsements may be available.
• Weld pipeline welds per API 1104 and ASME; structural welds per AWS standards.
• Maintain environmental standards and regulatory compliance for assigned locations.
