Northern Natural Gas is seeking a Senior Pipeline Technician to operate and maintain compressor stations and pipeline facilities across a large interstate system in the United States. The role covers diverse technical skills from controls to corrosion and welding.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in a technical field.
• Willingness for overtime and overnight stays.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pipeline Technician Academy completion or achievement of at least one skill-block.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing scheduled preventative maintenance on operational equipment.
• Recognizes abnormal operating conditions; supports emergency response.
• Locate pipelines and oversee third-party excavation/line crossings.
• Install and inspect pipeline markers.
• Operate work equipment including power/tools used in pipeline operations.
• Maintain and operate facilities per specifications, codes and safety standards.
• Maintain records per state, federal and company procedures.
• Review work assignments with the team to ensure safe practices.
