NV5 is seeking a Senior Pipeline Stress Engineer in California to lead advanced pipe stress analyses for aboveground natural gas and related piping systems, develop models with CAESAR II, and assess performance under thermal, seismic, wind, and operational loads.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, is a licensed PE, and has 10+ years of piping experience with gas facilities; responsibilities include calculations, design reviews, coordination with multi‑discipline

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Civil Engineering required.
• PE licensure required or active in CA; multi-state licensure preferred.
• 10+ years of pipe stress or piping engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced pipe stress analyses for aboveground natural gas systems.
• Develop and analyze piping models using CAESAR II.
• Evaluate piping systems under thermal, seismic, wind, and operational loads.
• Prepare calculations, technical evaluations, and design recommendations.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, and pipeline teams.
