Job summary

Worley is seeking a Principal Piping Stress Engineer in Houston to lead piping stress analysis for FEED and detailed design, ensuring codes and client requirements are met. The role requires CAESAR II proficiency, strong collaboration with design and field teams, and a track record of delivering safe, constructible piping layouts.

You will mentor junior engineers, review calculations and deliverables, coordinate with mechanical, civil, process teams, and support procurement and construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent accredited degree.
• Active PE license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Texas preferred).
• Experience in piping stress analysis in oil/gas, LNG, petrochemical, refining, EPC/EPCM.
• Extensive CAESAR II experience; familiarity with AutoPIPE/NozzlePRO/FEA desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead piping stress analysis for FEED, detail design, brownfield, and greenfield projects.
• Perform CAESAR II stress analyses to ensure compliance with codes and client specs.
• Develop stress calculations, line lists, calculation indexes, and deliverables.
• Review layouts and optimize routing, supports, and equipment loads.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, civil, process, and procurement teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the project team.
• Support procurement, field engineering, and construction activities.
• Lead AIV/FIV screening and assess vibration-related risks when required.
