Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking a design engineer to lead facility and capacity expansion projects for its gas/oil pipelines. You will develop conceptual designs, size equipment, estimate costs, and drive projects from concept through field implementation.

You will maintain hydraulic models, support regulatory filings, and optimize operations with real-time analyses. A bachelor’s in engineering and strong Excel/VBA skills are required; occasional travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in regulated environments with sensitive information.
• Knowledge of FERC Standards of Conduct and tariffs.
• Familiar with DOT, EPA, OSHA and pipeline safety regulations.
• Advanced Excel and VBA proficiency.
• MS Office suite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design conceptual expansion projects, size equipment and estimate preliminary costs.
• Refine designs through full lifecycle up to field implementation.
• Develop and maintain hydraulic models (WinFlow/NextGen).
• Use real-time transient models to project pipeline status.
• Coordinate capacity transactions with marketing and scheduling.
• Support regulatory filings and operational improvements.
• Communicate project status with management and stakeholders.
• Ensure safety and compliance in all activities.
