Job summary

Matrix Service is seeking a Pipe General Foreman to lead pipe foremen and crews on industrial construction projects. You will receive direction from the Superintendent and Site Manager and are responsible for coordinating installation, maintenance, and QA/QC of piping systems.

You will read blueprints, schedule work, manage tools and materials, assess safety risks, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience with pipefitting processes in industrial construction, maintenance or new construction.
• 5+ years' experience in a supervisory role.
• Good understanding of the craft environment and basic hand tools.
• Must pass Craft Skills Test at 70% or NCCER certification for the craft.
• Must understand Matrix Service policies and procedures.
• Must complete Matrix Service Safety training and Process Safety Management training.
• Obtain and maintain active status in the required drug testing program; subject to random screenings.
• Must pass a Background check and maintain a current, valid driver's license with MVR.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials.
• Supervise crews, manage scheduling, costs, employee relations, and staffing needs.
• Identify tools required for tasks and ensure their availability.
• Plan operations to optimize workloads and minimize costs using available assets.
• Ensure QA/QC requirements are met on assigned projects.
• Attend and represent Matrix Service on bid walks and potential projects.
