Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal in Houston, TX. The role supports a group of Attorneys/Paralegals, handling diverse state and federal cases and traveling as needed.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of plaintiff PI litigation experience, is proficient in Microsoft Office, and holds a Bachelor's degree or ABA-approved Paralegal Certification. Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience, including actual courtroom trial experience.
• Personal injury experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification from an ABA-approved program, preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of Attorneys and/or Paralegals to meet Firm/client needs.
• Handle multiple voluminous cases in state and federal court, including other states.
• Assist in all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, motions, hearings, mediations, trials, and arbitrations.
• Prepare petitions, answers, discovery, motions, pre-trial motions, memos, waivers, case briefs, medical records requests, settlements, and client correspondence.
• Compile deposition and trial notebooks, client interviews, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Proofread and format all materials.
• Support other Paralegals within teams to meet firm/client needs.
• Organize and prioritize workload to enable team efficiency.
• Adhere to Firm policies including attendance, dress code, security, and confidentiality.
