Job summary

Brandon J. Broderick LLC in New York seeks an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in pre-litigation and litigation to support our attorneys.

You will manage high-volume cases, draft pleadings, coordinate filings through NYSCEF, and maintain meticulous case files. You will work with a team to handle depositions, IMEs, mediations, and hearings, while ensuring deadlines and ethical standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in law or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal.
• Proficiency in Litify, eCourts, and legal databases.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume plaintiff personal injury caseload during the litigation phase.
• Draft litigation documents including pleadings, Bills of Particulars, discovery responses, authorizations, stipulations, motions, and other case-related filings.
• Prepare, file, and serve legal documents through NYSCEF while ensuring compliance with New York court rules and filing deadlines.
• Coordinate depositions, court conferences, IMEs, mediations, arbitrations, and other litigation-related proceedings.
• Review, organize, and maintain medical records, medical billing, employment records, insurance documentation, and other case materials.
• Prepare medical chronologies, deposition summaries, document indexes, and attorney case materials.
• Monitor litigation deadlines, maintain accurate case calendars, and proactively follow up on outstanding discovery and case requirements.
• Communicate regularly with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, courts, medical providers, expert witnesses, and court reporting services regarding case progression.
• Organize electronic case files and ensure all litigation documents are accurately maintained within the firm's case management system.
• Assist attorneys with case preparation for depositions, settlement conferences, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
• Perform additional litigation support responsibilities as assigned.
