Job summary

Our Los Angeles-based plaintiff-side personal injury firm seeks an experienced attorney with a strong trial background to own a caseload from litigation through trial. You’ll work with dedicated support staff in a collaborative environment that values professionalism and work-life balance.

Requirements include CA bar membership, 7+ years of PI litigation, excellent written and oral communication, sound judgment, and a collaborative, diplomatic approach.

Qualifications

• Active California law license in good standing.
• About 7+ years of legal experience with substantial personal injury litigation experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent judgment and case management skills.
• Confident, effective advocacy style that is firm but not overly aggressive.
• Collaborative, diplomatic approach with colleagues, clients and staff.
• Ambition and drive balanced with professionalism and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Managing a personal injury caseload from litigation through resolution and trial.
• Developing and carrying out case strategy.
• Conducting written discovery and taking/defending depositions.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs and other litigation documents.
• Representing clients at hearings, mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Preparing cases for trial and trying cases as needed.
• Working closely with support staff and other attorneys to manage matters efficiently.
• Keeping clients informed and maintaining strong relationships with them.
