Job summary

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is recruiting for a Supervisory Physician who will serve as an Associate Director in the Cancer Imaging Program. This federal role is based in Rockville, Maryland, and focuses on leadership in oncology imaging research and program development.

The ideal candidate will hold an M.D. or equivalent, with broad knowledge of cancer research, grant/contract processes, and substantial administrative experience.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent with knowledge of grant and contract processes.
• Residency experience in radiology, nuclear medicine, molecular imaging preferred.
• Administrative and managerial experience across program areas and institutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead CIP staff; manage personnel issues, recruitment, performance evaluations and budget management.
• Set scientific priorities and coordinate research support across NCI divisions and partners.
• Represent the NCI at national and international oncology imaging meetings and collaborations.
