Job summary

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is recruiting for a Physician (Clinical) to serve as a medical officer in the Clinical Trials Branch of the Cancer Imaging Program, located in Rockville, Maryland. The role focuses on the development, oversight, and evaluation of oncology imaging trials, with emphasis on molecular imaging, radiopharmaceuticals, and theranostics.

Qualifications

• Must be a physician with clinical expertise in nuclear medicine or radiology.
• Experience designing and overseeing oncology imaging clinical trials.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory processes and multi-institutional trials.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical and scientific leadership in review and management of oncology imaging clinical trial concepts, protocols, and contracts.
• Collaborate with NIH-sponsored trial networks and external partners to integrate advanced imaging into cancer research.
• Represent the Cancer Imaging Program at scientific meetings, workshops, and advisory committees.
