Job summary

Indian Health Service seeks a Physical Therapist to deliver compassionate, culturally grounded care to American Indian and Alaska Native communities, addressing social and emotional health factors and strengthening wellness within the community.

You will lead the Physical Therapy department, provide expert evaluations and treatments across inpatient and outpatient settings, and collaborate with the medical staff to ensure high-quality care and professional development.

Qualifications

• Education: PT curriculum approved by CAAHEP or equivalent; clinical requirements completed.
• Licensure: Active PT license in US jurisdiction; NPTES.
• Experience: 3 years toward Ph.D. required; 1 year specialized exp may be considered.
• Medical staff privileges and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the Physical Therapy department, including planning and budget management.
• Provide PT evaluation and treatment to inpatients and outpatients of all ages.
• Offer professional consultation to department personnel and medical staff.
• Plan and carry out a full range of physical therapy treatments.
