Job summary

Indian Health Service is seeking a Physical Therapist to lead and deliver compassionate care to American Indian and Alaska Native communities. You will oversee the PT department, contribute to policy development, and provide clinical evaluations across inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will coordinate staff development, ensure licensure compliance, and plan diverse PT treatments for patients of all ages. This role emphasizes culturally grounded care and community wellness.

Qualifications

• Education: PT curriculum approved by CAAHEP or equivalent.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted PT license and national exam.
• US citizenship and selective service registration for males born after 1959.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the Physical Therapy department with strategic planning and budgeting.
• Identify and address training needs of direct-care staff to support ongoing development.
• Provide PT evaluation and treatment for inpatients and outpatients of all ages.
• Offer expert consultation to department and medical staff within the Service Unit.
• Plan and carry out a full range of PT treatments.
