Job summary

System High Corporation is seeking a Physical Security Specialist in the Vandenberg SFB area. The role focuses on protecting Missile Defense Systems information and safeguarding personnel, facilities, and infrastructure from threats and disasters.

You will engage in analysis, planning, reporting, surveys, training, and policy development, while supporting AT, Emergency Management, and ESS PVT&A activities per DoD guidance. A SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in missile defense-related or other complex DoD programs or projects.
• 10+ years of experience on missile defense-related or other complex DoD programs.
• BA/BS degree; substitutions may be considered per DoD guidance.
• SECRET Clearance required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent competency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe

Responsibilities

• Engage in activities such as performing analysis, developing plans, preparing reports, attending meetings, conducting surveys, maintaining and updating databases, and conducting training.
• Assist in the Anti-Terrorism Force Protection, Emergency Management, and Physical Security concerns, with knowledge of DoD security policies and issuances (DoDI 5200.08-R, DoDI 5200.08, DoDD 2000.12, DoDD 4270.5).
• Assist with planning and assessment of the MDA AT and Physical Security program; participate in inter- and intra-agency collaboration; prepare reports and memoranda; assist in revising policies, plans, procedures and training material; and make recommendations.
• Assist with planning, developing, and executing Physical Site Surveys for controlled facility designation and accreditation and/or decertification of OSAs; prepare forms, checklists, and memoranda IAW DoD and MDA guidance.
• Prepare manuals, SOPs, fixed facility checklists, and procedures for handling, storing, and granting access to restricted records and materials.
• Assist with planning, developing and coordinating ESS PVT&A documentation; prepare and disseminate security-related correspondence and reports in support of PVT&A (e.g., Alarm Test Report and PVT&A Log).

Serve as a Physical Security Specialist, orchestrating protective measures to safeguard Missile Defense Systems information from loss, compromise, or unauthorized disclosure and to protect Agency workforce, facilities, and infrastructure from acts of terrorism, insider threat, and the effects of natural disasters.

The Applicant will:

• Engage in activities such as performing analysis, developing plans, preparing reports, attending meetings, conducting surveys, maintaining and updating databases, and conducting training.
• Assist in the Anti-Terrorism Force Protection, Emergency Management, and Physical Security concerns, and have a deep understanding of DoD security related policies and issuances, specifically DoDI 5200.08-R, DoDI 5200.08, DoDD 2000.12, DoDD 4270.5
• Assist with planning and assessment of the MDA AT and Physical Security program. Participate in inter and intra-agency collaborative efforts; prepare reports and memoranda. Assist in revising existing or developing new policies, plans, procedures and training material; and make recommendations.
• Assist with planning, developing, and executing Physical Site Surveys for controlled facility designation and accreditation and/or decertification of open storage areas (OSAs). Prepare and coordinate Physical Security Site Survey forms, checklists, and/or comments matrix and accreditation, designation and/or decertification memorandums IAW DoD and MDA guidance.
• Prepare manuals, standard operating procedures, fixed facility checklists outlining regulations, and establish procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials.
• Assist with planning, developing and coordinating Electronic Security System (ESS) Performance Verification, Testing and Acceptance (PVT&A) documentation. Prepare, coordinate, staff, and disseminate security related correspondence and reports in support of the PVT&A process (e.g. Alarm Test Report and PVT&A Log)

Qualifications

Basic Qualification

• Experience in on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs or projects.
• 10+ years of experience working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program / project
• BA/BS degree: When paired with an associate degree in a relevant field – Army, Navy, Air Force Command & General Staff college; Armed Forces Senior Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) course; or equivalent may be considered as a substitute in lieu of a BA/BS degree.
• SECRET Clearance required.
