Boutique Recruiting in the United States is seeking a Senior PHP Engineer to develop, maintain, and modernize our custom web applications and data systems that drive revenue. The ideal candidate has strong PHP 8 expertise, deep OOP knowledge, and experience with AWS, MySQL, and Git.

• 6+ years of PHP development experience, with PHP 8 and legacy PHP 5.6 familiarity.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills and experience architecting large-scale applications without traditional frameworks.
• At least 5 years of SQL experience with database design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services and Linux environments, plus Git version control.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, maintain, and enhance custom PHP web applications and data systems.
• Support and migrate legacy PHP 5.6 apps to PHP 8 and modernize systems.
• Design, optimize, and manage MySQL databases with indexing and performance tuning.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Engineer to join our expanding team. This pivotal role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing custom web applications and data systems that directly impact revenue generation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PHP development, particularly with PHP 8, and a strong background in building scalable, object-oriented applications. You will work closely with engineering teams across different time zones, including the US and Israel, to improve system functionality, optimize database performance, and modernize legacy systems. Your expertise will contribute to the ongoing evolution of our technology stack, supporting our mission to deliver innovative marketing solutions. Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of professional PHP development experience, with hands-on expertise in PHP 8 and familiarity with legacy PHP 5.6 applications.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills and experience architecting large-scale applications without relying on traditional frameworks.
• At least 5 years of experience with SQL, including database design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services and Linux environments, along with experience using Git for version control.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges independently and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across international teams and overlapping business hours.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of LLM APIs, lead generation platforms, or proficiency in French language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance custom PHP web applications, focusing on building scalable, object-oriented solutions within a custom codebase.
• Support existing PHP 5.6 applications while leading efforts to modernize and migrate systems to PHP 8.
• Design, optimize, and manage MySQL databases, including creating efficient table structures, indexing strategies, and query performance tuning.
• Develop and improve systems for storing, retrieving, analyzing, and scoring lead data to support marketing and sales initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams located in the US and Israel to improve system functionality, streamline workflows, and support ongoing development projects.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools, Git, AWS, and Linux environments to enhance development efficiency and ensure application reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues independently, make informed decisions, and implement effective solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to foster a culture of continuous learning and quality assurance.

Benefits

Our compensation package includes a competitive base salary ranging from $120,000 to $140,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with bonus potential.

The position offers a fully remote work environment for US-based candidates, with a preference for East Coast residents.
