Job summary

Arcfield is seeking a senior engineer to test, troubleshoot, and repair Navy Photonics Mast systems, supporting submarine imaging needs. You will lead technicians, design custom test equipment, and develop test plans while interfacing with program leads and experts.

Travel up to 10% may be required, on-site at NUWCDIVNPT, Newport, RI. The role emphasizes leadership, complex diagnostics, and collaboration with Navy managers, OEMs, and subcontractors to deliver cohesive, functional solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field with specified experience levels.
• Military substitution allows degree equivalence for the right candidate.
• Strong CAD experience with Altium, OrCAD, LTSpice.
• Experience using lab equipment: multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers.
• Familiar with RF test equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate teams of technicians to optimize testing schedules and repair workflows.
• Design and create custom test equipment and technical data packages.
• Develop test plans, readiness evaluations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide testing, troubleshooting, repair, and in‑service engineering support for Imaging Systems.
• Perform detailed component analysis and advanced diagnostics in a lab environment.
• Prototype, debug, and validate hardware designs and test configurations.
• Review and provide feedback on schematics and Technical Data Packages.
• Travel up to 10% for off-site installations and certifications.
