Job summary

The Senior Characterization & Test Engineer at PsiQuantum will own the evaluation, characterization, and validation strategy for photonic devices, packages, and subsystems. You will lead test programs across electrical, optical, thermal, and mechanical domains and mentor junior engineers to deliver high-quality data and engineering judgment for product development and volume ramping.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in engineering characterization, testing, or product development.
• Hands-on experience with LDV, infrared thermography, C-SAM, and Instron.
• Experience designing (not just executing) DOE and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical, optical, thermal, and mechanical characterization programs for photonic devices and assemblies.
• Own test plans and DOEs supporting product development and reliability.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and data pipelines (Python) to improve throughput.
• Mentor junior engineers and present findings to leadership.
