Job summary
Intel Corporation in Santa Clara, California seeks an experienced photonics systems engineer to architect, design and simulate system-level and component-level photonics solutions. You will develop end-to-end link simulations for high-speed silicon photonic components and identify optimization opportunities.
Collaborating across teams, you will validate photonic links with experiments, define specifications, and drive engineering decisions in a hybrid work environment.
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD with silicon photonics focus and industry experience.
- Experience with high-speed optical transceivers and system analysis.
- Proficiency in optical/electrical simulation tools and modeling.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design and simulate system-level photonics solutions.
- Develop and perform end-to-end system-level link simulations with high-speed silicon photonic components.
- Identify system-level tradeoffs and component performance optimization opportunities.
- Define system specifications driving component development and tradeoffs.
- Collaborate across organizations to validate photonic link and system understanding with experiments.
- Implement system-level solutions and drive engineering requirements decisions.
