Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Phlebotomist II Site Lead in East Haven, CT, with Monday to Friday schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and rotational weekends. The role involves leading daily operations at the Patient Service Center or In-Office Phlebotomy sites, drawing blood, ensuring accuracy, and upholding Quest Leadership Behaviors.

Qualified candidates have at least three years of phlebotomy experience, strong customer focus, and the ability to multitask in a high-volume setting

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Travel to multiple locations with short notice and flexibility to cover various PSC/IOP locations.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Verify patient demographics and labeling.
• Enter billing information and manage patient data as required.
• Perform phlebotomy tasks and related clerical duties.
• Maintain logs and assist with inventory and scheduling.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to new staff as needed.
• Communicate professionally with clients and document issues.
