Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our dynamic laboratory team. You will perform venipuncture, microcollection, and ensure timely specimen collection and processing to support accurate patient testing.

You will enter data into the Laboratory Information System, perform POC testing per guidelines, and mentor peers as a Senior Phlebotomist when requested. A high school diploma or GED and national phlebotomy certification are required, with hospital-based

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification as Phlebotomy Technician required by one of the listed cert bodies.
• Hospital-based phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and microcollection with accuracy.
• Ensure timely specimen collection, processing and distribution.
• Enter patient and specimen data in LIS accurately.
• Perform POC testing per guidelines.
• Serve as Senior Phlebotomist to guide peers when needed.
