Job summary

SunCoast Blood Centers is seeking a Blood Mobile Driver and Senior Phlebotomist to operate mobile units, perform apheresis and whole blood collections, and ensure donor safety and satisfaction. The role requires driving mobile units, engaging donors with care, and maintaining compliant documentation.

Ideal candidates will have strong customer service, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced mobile environment, and experience with electronic data entry systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in automated blood collections.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License required; insurability standards apply.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate bloodmobiles, buses and fleet vehicles in compliance with safety and licensing requirements.
• Perform whole blood and automated (apheresis) collection procedures and monitor donors.
• Reschedule donors at the bedside and support appointment scheduling and donor retention.
• Adhere to SOPs, safety protocols and regulatory requirements (FDA, AABB, HIPAA, OSHA).
• Support inventory monitoring, training participation, and other duties as assigned.
