Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist III for a Territory role covering Lees Summit, MO. The position requires performing venipuncture and capillary draws, ensuring proper labeling, and entering data accurately in lab systems.

You will travel across PSC and IOP locations with weekday schedules and occasional weekends as needed. Qualified candidates will have at least three years of phlebotomy experience and a phlebotomy certification in applicable states.

Qualifications

• Three years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Phlebotomy certification required in CA, NV, WA, and LA.
• Travel up to 75%
• English required

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collections following established procedures for venipuncture and capillary draws; handle difficult draws with minimal error.
• Obtain patient identification, verify labeling accuracy, and perform data entry as needed.
• Prepare specimens for transport and testing, including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and storage as required by test order.
• Research test/client information and verify all orders using lab systems and directory of services.
• Provide exemplary patient service; communicate collection procedures clearly and address questions.
• Perform data entry for patient registration and billing; maintain a clean, welcoming collection environment.
• Support travel across PSC and IOP locations; mentor staff when needed.
