Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree required.
• California law license required.
• 8 years of direct experience in charitable sector law.
• Experience with fiscal sponsorship and program-related investments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise executives on complex grantmaking and investment questions.
• Lead vetting of new service offerings and programs.
• Review and negotiate day-to-day contracts and grant agreements.
• Develop and revise legal documents, templates, and compliance policies.
• Respond to subpoenas, inquiries, and coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
