Job summary

The Frederick Gunn School seeks a Senior Philanthropy Advisor to advance its mission by engaging current and recent parent donors. You will manage a portfolio of families, cultivate giving, and coordinate with Major Gifts and school leadership to meet annual fundraising goals.

Key duties include leadership of the Family Leadership Circle, donor discovery, personalized engagement plans, and stewardship, with occasional travel and events supporting Gunn Fund objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite; Raiser's Edge or equivalent preferred.
• Discretion with confidential donor information.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach; ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Family Leadership Circle and parent leadership giving strategy.
• Manage a portfolio of ~75–100 parent prospects.
• Conduct discovery and qualification among parent families to tailor engagement and solicitation strategies.
• Develop relationships with families with major or principal gift potential.
• Collaborate with Major Gifts team for high-potential relationships.
• Support Senior Class Gift leadership and other parent giving initiatives.
• Identify and cultivate future parent volunteers and trustees.
• Coordinate donor outreach and engagement events; some travel.
• Maintain detailed donor records in Raiser's Edge.
