Job summary

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk/Assistant to greet customers, assist pharmacists, and help maintain accurate prescription data and inventory. You will support daily pharmacy operations with attention to detail and a strong customer-service focus.

The role requires licensing where applicable, immunizer certification, and readiness to work across various shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of criminal background check and drug testing as required.
• Maintain current national certification and state license as required.
• Maintain advanced certifications (i.e., immunizer certification) and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers and provide prompt and courteous service.
• Help pharmacists prepare prescriptions with accurate data entry, retrieving counting or pouring medications and labeling products.
• Ensure customers receive all their prescriptions in a timely manner.
• Maintain pharmacy records as required by law.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
• Help customers find over the counter items.
• Coordinate and assist with scheduling.
• Understand and adhere to state specific and federal laws and regulations.
• Assist pharmacist in maintaining pharmacy inventory, including ordering and retuning product, stocking shelves, and proper separation and return of outdated product.
• Maintain knowledge of physical inventory procedures and assist in the physical inventory process including analyzing reports.
